Personal ad to the non-existant male suitor.

Wanted: boyfriend.

Qualifications: A fun guy. The guy who is not what he seems. The one who thinks I'm the cutest thing ever, one who doesn't make me cry, or make my heart hurt, who can just sit with me and be ok with that, who can make me laugh till I cry, one worth being [just a little] jealous over, one with the personality that shines above all the rest. I want a guy who thinks just sittin' around, listening to me babble on about nothing is worth their time, who loves my bad habits, who will sit and let me read Cosmo to them [and pretend to like it, even though I know you actually do], thinks I have the best taste in music/food/movies, etc. and helps me in the kitchen when I attempt to be the next Gia de Laurentiis. Where is the guy who will tell me I'm beautiful even when I look like a train wreck, who doesn't complain when all I want is to cuddle, even if it's all afternoon, will make the stupid jokes, even if I've heard them a thousand times [but still find them funny], one who can surprise me, one who can make me feel safe. Where is the guy who will appreciate my love for art, thinks that my addiction to scrapbooking is totally legit, will let me pay [occasionally], knows the right time to agree to disagree, loves to climb trees, will take me on picnics, and hold my hand and kiss my forehead.  More than these things, though, I need a man. A man who can match wits with me, stimulate my mind, be my equal, offer good conversation, advice and genuine-ness aplenty.  A man who can see past the hurt in my eyes, and wants to be the person to fix it [even though I'll try to persuade you I don't need fixing]. A man who can give me my space, yet knows when to be there for me, and tries to take care of me even though I'll fight him about it. And lastly, one who doesn't think of this as a long list of unrealistic qualities in a man, but thinks he fits the bill. =]

Ok, 10 Random Facts.  Here's how it works, I name 10 random facts about myself and then I choose 8 people to tag.  Once you've been tagged, you have to post a blog with 10 random facts about your self and choose 8 people to do the same.  so Let's get Random!!

1. I can't stand wearing real clothes. I'll occasionally wear them in public, but most of the time, it's ballin' shorts and t-shirts.

2. When I take showers, I like to lay in the bottom of the shower instead of actually standing up. Yeah, I know. Lazy.

3. I think mellocreme pumpkins are better than candy corn.

4. I like to ride around in the winter time with windows down, heat blasting and music blaring.

5. I tell people what I think. If they ask for an honest opinion, that's what they get.

6. I clean when I'm mad/upset/sad.

7. I love to cook.

8. Halloween is my favorite "holiday."

9.  I get annoyed easily, but  I'm really good at not acting like it.

10. I, like Adonicca, hate when people do not tip (which is not allowed when I'm around), or tip poorly. I've been on the other side of the table and had to work for tips. "I DONT LIKE PEOPLE WHO ARE PUBLICLY CHEAP."

OK..
The chosen ones:
1. Marcie
2. Megz

amen

Be original. Copying other people doesn't make you cool.

Don't do drugs. They are just the loser's way of coping with stress. Drugs make you stupid. And keep you stupid. So if you like being stupid, by all means, go for it.

Get a life, or maybe just a job. Spend your own money, not someone else's.

Work when you're at work, unless you want to pay someone else to do your job for you.

Quit being so selfish. There are other people in the world besides you.

Grow up. Whether you're 18 or 45, there is life beyond high school.

Be prepared to back up the junk you talk.

Aspire to be something great, not something mediocre.

Unless you truly do know everything, don't act like you do. Go home, read some books, then get back to me.

If you aren't good and innocent, don't pretend to be. Come on, everyone knows the truth.

Scene kids are not the only ones who know what good music is. There are those out there who dress and act perfectly normal that know more about music than you do.

Your actions, whether good or bad, will be repaid tenfold. So be nice.

I will be wonderful to you until you are ugly to me. Then I might still be nice, but you can count on having a bad day in the near future.

"I would hang out with you, but I don't think your girlfriend would like it" is something only slutty girls say to see what response they can get out of a guy. If you don't think I'll like you around him, then you're probably right. You, too, will have a bad day.

Thank you to those who are good human beings. You are the only thing that keeps me sane in this ever-expanding world of scumbags and morons.

note: this was borrowed from the lovely megan rains. i think she and i share the same brain.

The most real thing I've ever read. Long, but def. worth it.

It seems no matter what is said, or done on this website I see and hear of people wondering/speculating/ judging who is a christian and who isn't. I honestly don't even want to give this subject anymore of a spotlight but i feel like a lot of you are wondering who Underoath is, and who I am , and who we are as people and Christians, and how that applies to our lives. I feel a true Christian is someone who loves other people before themselves and loves God with everything. My goal in life isn't to go through life never drinking a beer, or not saying certain words...it's loving people and learning how to be a positive influence in people's lives. If you're looking at us to fit the squeaky clean mold that the Christian right has set before us as the status quo, I think it's time for you to sign off of this website for good. We are real dudes with real problems. If you want perfect people then you are always going to be disappointed..if you want to feel like you're a perfect person and are surrounded by perfect people, then go into %90 of the churches that exist in our country where sexual addiction doesn't exist, or drug use doesn't exist, or drinking doesn't exist....I have news for you....the only time that stuff doesn't exist is for 45 minutes on Sunday morning. NOBODY is perfect, and no one ever will be...if you think someone is your being lied to or you're lying to yourself. There's nothing wrong with someone drinking, or listening to whatever they want, or wearing whatever they want. I'd rather have a few beers with my friends and get real with them on issues and struggles rather than fake perfection and never really get anywhere with anyone. I care about poverty, the environment, homeless people, my friends lives, my girlfriend's heart and life, my family, social injustices.....so on and so forth. I am not concerned about who drank what, and who smokes, or who said ass the other night. We are not twelve years old...it's time to stop acting like we are. Look past the five steps of being a good Christian that your youth leader told you and start getting real. There's people that are killing themselves right now because nobody talks about problems. People feel like they are alone in struggles because nobody is willing to admit their own flaws. Everyone gets trapped in this social prison and in turn are pushed further and further down until they are helpless. I drink with my friends, I mess up with my girlfriend, my mouth isn't the cleanest thing in the world, homosexual people don't offend me, I don't agree with George Bush and the war we are in....and the list goes on. I feel like this journal entry is so elementary, but i feel like this issue needs to be dealt with. Until we're ok with not being ok, we're never going to get anywhere. I'm as messed up as anyone that is reading this, if not more. The only thing I know is that anything of any real value or worth in my life is not of my own accord but Christ in me. Jesus ate 'unclean' meet, drank wine with his friends, hung out with people that didn't fit the contemporary christian molds of old, and he got heat for it..but it was the right thing to do..the real thing to do. There was only one true Christian and that was Jesus. He cared about the homeless, the widow, and the orphans more than fitting into the Christian box..so that's what i will do. I'm sure there will be post after post of outraged 'christians' who are burning their UO cd's and furious because this isn't what they wanted to hear. I have a hard time loving those people, but I'm trying. Usually when I see those posts I laugh and joke with my friends about how stupid people can be, and for that I'm sorry, but this time I wanted to be transparent in hopes that some clarity and headway could be made on these topics. If not I guess there will be an extreme surge of Underoath cd's in the local record shop's used bin...so if you don't have a lot of money and want any of our records then wait about a week after this is posted and hit up the cd shops...you're bound to find what you're looking for. I love you all...and I almost forgot...Happy Thanksgiving!!! By the way...Aaron is going to be doing an Almost tour in January and all of you guys should go out and see him...check his site for more details!!!! I love you all...even you.

Memories.

If you are reading this, leave one memory of you and me together as a COMMENT it doesn't matter what it is, anything you remember. next, repost this and see how many people leave a memory about you. =)

For the benefit of others...

Okay, so lately, I've been noticing that people who have already graduated high school STILL do not know how to write or spell or use grammar correctly. This bugs me more than you'll ever know. So here's a little cheat sheet.

Your shows possession.. Example: "Is that your coat?"

You're= you are.. Example: "You're cute" "You're funny" NOTTTTT "Your cute" or "Your funny"

There shows place. NOT ownership.. Example: "It is over there."

Their shows ownership. NOT place.. Example: "That is their van."

They're=they are. Example: "They're in class."

Among the plethora of misspelled words, here are four of the more common ones:

Basically

Sincerely

Peace (as in peace out, not piece out. That really gets on my nerves)

Disgusting

That is all for now. If I can think of anymore, I'll be sure to post them. =)
